Folkestone Documentary Festival is an annual celebration of UK and international non-fiction filmmaking, now entering its fifth year. Taking place each October over a long weekend in the seaside town of Folkestone, the festival showcases the best in new feature-length and short documentaries alongside plenty of opportunities for people to get involved in Q&As, workshops, networking events, community gatherings (including a sea swim) and industry talks. We aim to inspire audiences with powerful real-life stories, support emerging talent, and create spaces for shared learning, reflection, and community connection.
