We're looking for Front of House Festival Volunteers
Folkestone Documentary Festival celebrates the power of documentary filmmaking to spark conversation, deepen understanding and bring people together. Taking place from 22–25 October 2026, the festival presents an inspiring programme of films, talks and special events across Folkestone.
We're looking for festival volunteers to help out at this year's festival.
Dates: Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 October 2026
Commitment: Shifts of up to 4 hours, minimum of 2 shifts (one AM and one PM) preferred
Benefits: Free festival pass, t-shirt and tote bag
Role Responsibilities:
- Greeting audiences and being a friendly face of the festival
- Staffing the festival desk and answering questions
- Showing people to their seats
- Handing out and collecting feedback forms
- Supporting screenings and events as needed
Person Specification:
- Aged 17+
- Friendly, reliable and approachable
- Interested in films and engaging with audiences
- Comfortable in a public-facing role
- Able to commit to at least two 4-hour shifts (including one AM and one PM shift) between 22–25 October

- We have a limited budget available to reimburse reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, agreed in advance. If travel or other costs would be a barrier to you volunteering, please let us know when you apply – we will do our best to support you.
