How to Use your Festival Pass

Folkestone Documentary Festival has one of the most affordable film festival passes in the UK, offering you access to every festival screening for just £60 (£45 for concessions).

Once you have your festival pass – that’s it! You don’t need to do anything else. Just show the QR code on arrival at each screening to gain admittance to the film. We've changed the process from previous editions of the festival, to make it much easier to use.

How does my Festival Pass work?

After you buy a festival pass, you’ll receive an order confirmation email containing a QR code. This is your pass, so please keep it handy and show it on arrival at each screening. Make sure you don’t share your pass QR code or email with anyone else, as it can only be used once for each event.

Does my pass automatically give me access to all screenings?

Yes, just show your pass QR code every time you arrive at a screening or event. You do not need to queue for a ticket. Please note that the Festival Pass does not include the Industry Day. Tickets for the Industry Day are just £5 and can be purchased via Folkestone Quarterhouse.

Does my pass guarantee me a place at each event?

No, seats are taken first-come first-served by pass holders and paying customers alike, so please avoid arriving late in case the event sells out.

We’ll allocate spaces to every pass-holder in advance to facilitate check-in, but if the event approaches capacity after doors open, we may need to remove this allocation to sell remaining seats. This is unlikely to happen and we will email pass holders in advance if a screening looks like selling out.

Does my Festival Pass guarantee me a specific seat?

No, seats are unreserved at the Silver Screen Cinema so you can choose where to sit - arrive early if you have a favourite seat!
